Bondbar hair color reviews

Maintaining my long, luxurious hair is a top priority for me, especially since I have pricey virgin Russian extensions. To keep my hair healthy, I've tried numerous products and treatments, so when I heard about Sally Beauty's new four-step bondbar™ system at an affordable price point, I was intrigued. Spoiler alert: I was pleasantly surprised by the instant results.

If you're like me and deal with various types of hair damage, such as from bleach, color, chemicals, or hot tools, you're probably familiar with the wonders of bond builder technology. It can transform your hair, leaving it soft, moisturized, and stronger, regardless of your hair type.

Sally Beauty's bondbar™ system seemed promising right from the start. According to Krupa Koestline, Clean Cosmetic Chemist and Founder of KKT Consultants, "This is a great price point for a hair care system; it’s a [good] mix of smoothing, detangling, and conditioning ingredients." With each product priced at less than $10, I was eager to put the system to the test.

Let me share my bondbar hair color reviews of the four-piece system, which costs under $40.

About My Hair

I have two hair types due to my extensions. This system claims to be suitable "for all hair types and textures," which is perfect for me. I have wavy textured extensions that I can air dry and they look great, but my natural hair is fine, frizzy, and needs blow-drying to look decent. Blending these two textures seamlessly is my challenge, and it all comes down to the products I use.

About bondbar™

I prefer a minimalistic hair care routine, so a system like Sally Beauty's bondbar™ is right up my alley. This newly released range comprises only four products: the bondbar™ #3 Bonding Pre-Shampoo, bondbar™ #4 Bonding Shampoo, bondbar™ #5 Bonding Conditioner, and bondbar™ #6 Bonding Styling Cream. The idea is to use them consecutively, as each product penetrates deep into the hair strands, repairing and strengthening them. They also provide protection against external factors like heat, chemicals, and environmental damage, resulting in moisturized, frizz-free, and shinier hair for an overall healthier appearance.

How to Use the bondbar™ System

The first step, bondbar™ #3 Bonding Pre-Shampoo, is more like a hair mask since it's meant to be left on damp hair for at least 10 minutes. Its whipped texture is neither tacky nor heavy, making it different from traditional masks. As my hair was particularly thirsty, I left it on for about an hour, although the directions suggest 10 minutes. You can use it up to three times a week, but once a week was sufficient for me.

The bondbar™ #4 Bonding Shampoo and bondbar™ #5 Bonding Conditioners are straightforward to use. The shampoo lathers quickly, so a little goes a long way. The conditioner, on the other hand, is silky and slippery, making it easy to apply. I applied it mid-shaft to ends, avoiding my roots. This formula worked wonders, leaving my hair incredibly smooth and manageable.
